De Zalm is a charming hotel which has been run for generations by the same family. It is situated on Herentals' main marketplace, just opposite the Medieval Clothmakers' Hall.
Behind the classic facade is the bustle of a well-kept, authentic 'brown café' offering a wide range of Belgian beers. In addition, you can enjoy good, honest Flemish-French cooking and a carefully selected wine menu. In summer, guests can enjoy their meals on the indoor terrace. |

It was completely renewed during the restoration process, but refurbished with the original furniture, including the authentic 1920's bar and genuine silver coffee filters.
Known for decades for its perfect Belgian STELLA, The café offers a wide range of Belgian beer specialties, some quite obscure, but not less tasty.
The café offers a daily menu meal and a variety of snacks. On Sunday it serves a 3 course "Sunday menu". |
